Sr. QA Engineer

Job description

We're looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test. As a part of our Software Quality Team at inFeedo, you're expected to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while still ensuring timely delivery of releases. You must have proven to consistently own deliver quality on technically complicated features/areas.

What will you be doing?

  • Testing: Designing and writing test automation scripts using test automation frameworks. Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with Product Owners, Application and Engineering teams for creating and executing test cases and perform QA validation (manual and automation). Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development life cycle
  • Improve & Implement Processes: Help define, improve and implement QA best practices, evaluate software applications, product code & systems according to specification
  • Document anomalies: Document results and compare to expected results, report bugs & errors to the development team.
  • Provide application instructions: Create awareness for all users and meaningful error handling procedures.

Is this you?

  1. Experience: 4-6 years
  2. Collaborate with product management and business stakeholders to deliver quality for a SaaS-based solution.
  3. Excellent in Manual Testing of Web and mobile web applications.
  4. Hands-on experience in Web or API automation.
  5. Excellent in testing REST APIs and using API testing tools, like Postman, etc.
  6. Strong in different kinds of testing like Functional/Non-Functional Testing, UI Testing, Regression Testing, System, Acceptance Testing, Smoke Testing, and Database Testing.
  7. Hands-on experience in designing complex test scenarios and test cases, defect/bug logging using JIRA and additionally helping in peer review.
  8. Strong knowledge of SQL Queries
  9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with oral and written communication skills
  10. Able to take ownership and get things done, help train and onboard new hires
  11. Good troubleshooting skills to assist the team in complex issues.
  12. Own communication throughout the sprint/release cycle, quality, and the delivery of the tasks/features.
Brownie Points
  1. Hands-on experience on Web Proxy tools like Charles, Fiddler, or Burp Suite
  2. Work experience in a product-based startup
  3. Knowledge of code repositories such as GIT
  4. Build tool- Jenkins
