QA Engineer

Job description

Now that we're YC backed, we're looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test. As a part of our Software Quality Team at inFeedo, you're expected to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while still ensuring timely delivery of releases. You must have proven to consistently own deliver quality on technically complicated features/areas.

What will you be doing?

1. Evaluate: The software applications, product code & systems according to specification

2. Collaborate: Work with developers for creating and executing test cases and perform QA validation (manual and automation)

3. Record: Document results and compare to expected results 

4. Document anomalies: Report bugs & errors to the development team 

5. Provide application instructions: Create awareness for all users and meaningful error handling procedures

6. Testing: Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing 

7. Cross-Functional: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development life cycle

    Requirements

    Is this you?

    1. Experience: 3-6 years
    2. Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC concepts
    3. Strong knowledge of Manual Testing and sound knowledge of Automation Testing (Selenium & JAVA).
    4. Hands-on experience in testing REST APIs and using API testing tools, like Postman etc.
    5. Should have hands-on experience on different kinds of testing like Functional Testing, Regression Testing, System, Acceptance Testing, Smoke Testing, Database Testing.
    6. Hands-on experience in designing complex test scenarios and test cases
    7. Strong knowledge of SQL Queries
    8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    9. Strong oral and written communication skills

    Brownie Points

    1. Work experience in a product-based startup
    2. Knowledge of code repositories such as GIT
    3. Build tool- Jenkins
    4. Experience with JMeter for Performance Testing
